What is the A**hole Monologues?
"The A**hole Monologues" are 90 minutes of original comedic, dramatic, musical and poetic monologues, all based around the theme of "A**HOLES."
Most of the pieces were written by the artists performing them. Others were contributed by outside writers, including acclaimed novelist Dave Eggers (A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius). Each was asked, simply, to write whatever inspired them about "A**HOLES." The results came in both literal and figurative interpretations of the word. Everyone, it seems, has an A**hole Monologue in them.
I have an idea for an A**hole Monologue. How can I submit one?
Anyone interested in submitting an A**hole Monologue is encouraged to do so. Periodic "calls for entries" will go out to seek new material for future runs of the show, but submissions will be accepted year-round. Please click here for submission information.
What this about Crohn's Disease. Is that for real or a joke?
While entertaining audiences, "The A**hole Monologues" has raised in excess of $10,000 thus far for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA).
The CCFA is the only private national organization dedicated to finding a cure for inflammatory bowel diseases and is in part responsible for exciting breakthroughs in the study of these diseases.
